Why does Japan continue to erase their history about the atrocities they committed during WWII?

I agree. Erase is really not the correct word to use. Compared to Germany's actions, Japan was like a day care child. In perspective, they don't need remorse because all along, Germany was just using them to keep us occupied while they were the one committing the horrible actions that scared the world. Don't believe me? Germany attempted this before in World War 1 when they tried to recruit Mexico's aid to declare war on us. Anything considered 'horrible' that the Japanese had done in World War 2, was basically never put in the spotlight because of Germany's negative publicity from us back then. They never erased anything. Just merely ignored it.
