Uh oh-4 inch box turtles mating?

Well I guess Benny was a girl after all. I put together my two small EBTS (or at least partial EBTS- I don't think they're exactly the same breed) after I accidentally broke one of the tanks and it looked like they were mating today, completely with love bites. I couldn't see if they were actually tied because I obviously didn't want to startle them, but will they have viable eggs if they did mate? It seems Benny is WAY too small to lay eggs...
