Please answer?!? I don't know what all this means??? I really like him?!? Please?

Ok, my friend Christofer and I are in a band together. The band is him, myself, and 2 of our friends, Nick, and Mackenzie (That's a guy,) and Chris and I do all the vocals, so we spend a lot of time together, writing lyrics and practicing. Anyways, I like Chris... a lot. He's so sweet, and really sensitive (and NO, he's not metro, bi, or gay. He's just been through a lot.) I've been trying to figure out lately how he feels about me by looking at his lyrics, and how he looks at me when he sings them, although he's difficult to read, quite often. His newest song is about a girl he really likes, but he thinks she is too good for him. Saturday night, our band and all of our friends came over, and we were all in my basement, and our band played for a while, and around 9:30 PM, I got tired, and I went and layed down on a couch, nearby, but Chris kept singing. He sang that new song that he had written, and he looked at me the entire time he was singing. Then, he came over to the couch, and sat down next to me, and I put my head on his leg, and he started running his fingers through my hair, then put his arm around me. Around 11:00 PM, everyone else was gone, and Chris and I had sat on the couch from 9:30 to 11:00, just talking. We sat there even longer, until around 11:30, and I still had my head in his lap, but I was looking up at him. There was this moment where we just kinda stopped talking and stared at each other, and it was silent, and he lifted my head off his lap, and he had one hand around my waist, and one behind my neck, and he just looked in my eyes. I think he was gonna kiss me... but then he just stopped, and stared at me longer, hugged me, and said, "I really should go..." but not in a bad tone... He sounded sad that he had to leave. I talked to him on the phone a few times, but he didn't bring it up. What does all this mean?!? Please!? What should I do?
