Why do women like to bring up the past mistakes of her man?

When a woman quarrels with a man, invariably she will bring up the past mistakes of a man. She will dig up history, and say "I recall what you did to me so many years ago." "History repeats itself." "A leopard never changes his spots." etc, etc.
