Why are people so picky about food?

I am referring to the food industry... seriously I never knew how ridiculously petty people could be about their food... I mean, no this, more that, weird this, cooked like that, wrapped in tinfoil only, blah, blah blah... If they are so particular why dont they make it themselves? Instead of haring regular people just trying to do their job with outlandish stipulations about their food and then complaining no matter what. I mean what is the point of getting a coffee at Tim Hortons but oh no it has to be half coffee, half tea, a shot of cappuchino, sugar cream.... ridiculous. What possible reason would you concoct something like that, its stupid. It seems these days people are pickier than ever and yet they dont want to make anything themselves... geez I tell ya, the more I work at a restaurant the more I lose respect for people around who are so friggin picky nothing is ever good enough. People need more respect for who is making their food... Dont you think??
